Grant Opportunities at GCF

At the Gloucester Community Foundation, we award grants with the goal of supporting a healthy, vibrant community where all residents can thrive. As we work to create positive and meaningful change in Gloucester, we have identified four focus areas based on the results we hope to achieve.

We are proud to be a place where people can come together to create positive change for our community. It's through the generosity and thought leadership

of our partners that we are able to develop innovative ideas and advance promising solutions. As an affiliate of the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, we are part of the largest community foundation in Virginia and the third-largest in the southeast — giving us the potential to do even greater good.

Are you working in one of our areas of interest? Are you a student looking to advance your educational goals? If so, we invite you to take a look at our grantmaking and scholarship application criteria. Let's make a change together.

Our community grants program is supported by unrestricted and field of interest funds created by donors who had the foresight to ensure that GCF would have the flexibility to meet the changing needs of our region over time. Each year, GCF makes grants that advance our goals of cultural vibrancy, economic prosperity, educational success, and health and wellness.
